I have decided to package this mint Leica IIIf, Red Dial, manufactured in 1953, with a equally mint Summitar 50mm and a very good condition Cherry tripod with its excellent condition leather case! All three items are an excellent match for their era and would be a great addition to any camera collection. This camera is in excellent condition, a 9/10. Recent CLA by David Yau. Usual wear marks on the inside film compartment, very slight hazing in viewfinder and focus reticle is faded but still very usable. Shutter curtain does need replacement due to light leaks. The collapsing lens tube barely has any scratches from the extending action. Also included is the genuine Leica strap you see in the images. This is an excellent opportunity to own a genuine classic Leica IIIf in very minty shape with an excellent lens and strap. Shutter curtain replacement is available from various providers or as a do it yourself kit. The Cherry tripod, is in very good shape, and extends from 11 to 43, head is smooth and locks securely. One foot on the tripod is slightly loose, but is an easy fix. All three items were given to me as a gift by a widow, whose deceased husband collected cameras. The item “Leica IIIf withSummitar 5cm and Cherry Tripod! REDUCED AGAIN” is in sale since Saturday, September 8, 2018. This item is in the category “Cameras & Photo\Vintage Movie & Photography\Vintage Cameras\Rangefinder Cameras”. The seller is “mbsevans” and is located in Tiverton, Ontario.
