Rare collectible 35mm rangefinder camera produced for the US Army Signal Corps. Plaque on back of the camera body. Uses Leica screw mount M39 lenses. Camera has silver finish with black leatherette in good condition. Military stamp of September 1962 on top of the camera. Shutter speed range from 1/1000 to 1 sec. Military model of the Kardon camera has the tall shutter release button, and enlarged film winding knob for easier grip. Camera body is in Ex+/Ex++ or 9 of 10 cosmetic condition. No dings or dents. Top cover in good condition with only a few very small marks from use. Bottom cover does show some marks from use. Overall excellent cosmetic condition for it’s age. Also comes with original leather case included. Kodak Ektar 47mm f/ 2 normal lens. In Leica M39x1 tread mount. Aperture range for f/ 2 to f/ 16. Close focus down to 3.5′ or 1 meter. Comes with original Kardon lens cap. Lens has been CLA’d recently by Yoxin Ye to the best possible condition. Lens is in Ex++ or 9 of 10 cosmetic condition. Nice clean lens coating with no big marks or scratches. Some small dust particles inside that can be seen with a flashlight only. Smooth and clean aperture blades. Quite RARE and desirable lens.
