This listing is for a Zeiss Ikon Contax II rangefinder camera which includes a Sonnar 1:2 f=5cm lens and original leather case – all of which is in excellent condition. This camera was made between 1936 and 1941 and is considered the finest 35mm camera to be made by the company and in general among 35mm rangefinder cameras. This model camera (not this exact camera in the listing) was also used to take the famous D-Day landing pictures. The camera is 6 inches long, 3 1/2 inches tall, and about 3 inches deep. The camera shows little to no wear besides some dust in the corners of the camera. The interior shows no wear and is very clean. The lens is moderately dirty currently, however it can be cleaned and is in great condition overall. The leather case also is in excellent condition with only minor wear on the bottom part of the case. I have not tested the camera to see if it still works however given the condition, I don’t see anything that looks like it would prevent it from working as intended. Overall, everything feels very sturdy and well built – just in need of a good cleaning. I have included pictures of everything mentioned in this description so you can see for yourself. Additional pictures can be supplied, please feel free to ask for them. Thanks for viewing this listing!
