Metrawatt AG Nurnberg, Germany. Cleaned February 1972 by same (Receipt #26771 Original + copy). Vulcanite is damaged in one small spot under lens, (see photo). This vintage S2 rangefinder camera is in very nice shape, tested and is working. Shutter sounds correct at all speeds. Rangefinder focusing works properly. Black vinyl is in excellent condition. Chrome finish has only mild marks from use and age – see photos. Focus wheel on camera focuses properly. Aperture rings turns easily, clicking at each f-stop. Lens glass has no scratches, no dust inside, no separation. Aperture blades are clean on front, show some oil on the back side – see photos. Lens has a Walz UV filter which is dented and I have been unable to remove it. I do not think the lens filter threads are damaged, just the filter. Sale includes original Nippon Kogaku leather camera and lens case. Also includes original instructions, metal film canister and Kenko yellow/blue filters. There no caps for the lens. The leather is all intact. The exterior is very grimy and needs to be cleaned up. A little dim but still see-able. The slow speeds work though not tested. The top speeds work though not tested. Leica M3 SS Rangefinder Body Only In Working Condition Made in 1958 Germany

Please read this carefully!!! Camera serial number 921775. You get a Leica M3 Single Stroke chrome body. This camera was made in 1958 in Wetzlar, Germany. The camera is in excellent working condition. The rangefinder works perfectly and is accurate. The viewfinder looks good and the rangefinder is bright and accurate. The shutter works at all speeds. I do not have a speed tester, but all the speeds sound OK to me. The self timer works. All the framelines are bright. You get the camera, body cap, take up spool and import certificate. These are the body condition issues so PLEASE take the time to read this information. The viewfinder is very clean and the rangefinder window is bright and contrasty. The framelines are bright. I will include a cap for the bulb flash connection and a PC sync for the electronic flash connection. There is general wear (brightmarks) on the top plate on the chrome finish. The baseplate shows general brightmark wear. There is no wear above the strap lugs. The first and second shutter curtains look very clean. The camera has some missing vulcanite. There are 2 sections on the back door (above and below) the film reminder indicator. The center of the film reminder indicator is missing the red center trim. There is a small chip in the vulcanite next to the base plate connection pin. A fair overall grade is ex or 8. This was bought to be used and not collected, but of course now it is a collectible camera, but still an excellent camera to use. Please look closely at the image. What you see is what you get. Hong Kong Is OK. I do not mark items as gifts. Check out my other items.
