This Kowa (which is also known as the Kowa Kallo 140) is an early rangefinder model, which helped establish the subsequent Kowa 35mm SLR cameras. The camera’s serial number is 156027. This is a fully manual rangefinder camera with an excellent removable fast lens, a Prominar 1:1.4 50mm (serial no: 564116). The film speed, focus, aperture and shutter speed controls are all around the lens. Introduced in the late 1950’s/early 1960’s, this camera comes with its original leather ever-ready carry case, neck strap and Chinon branded 52mm lens cap. This camera is in very good cosmetic condition (see photos for detail) and has been tested with film in the past week. The lens is clear with only minor dust (no fungus) and has been checked with the camera. The viewfinder is clear and the rangefinder square is visible/working. A rare early SLR from the 1960’s.
