Original 1938 Leica IIIa Camera, with a 1934 Ernst Leitz Wetzlar lens. The camera body has serial number 297424, and the Summar f=5 cm 1:2 lens has serial number 228581. Leica lens cap is present. Both made by Ernst Leitz Wetzlar in pre-World War II Germany. Check of the serial numbers on-line indicate the camera body was made in 1938 and the lens was made in 1934. Fresh from a San Antonio, Texas estate sale. Leather top of case off, but present; viewfinder clear and sharp; all knobs and buttons appear to work. Top of case could be re-stitched on.
