The lens is clean in and out. There are no scratches, fungus or haze inside optical elements. Using a magnifying glass it is possible to see several tiny cleaning marks on the front lens element and dust particles inside the lens, but they are not effecting a picture quality what so ever. You cannot see them on the pictures of the lens I made. There are 2 or 3 bubbles in the glass, but it is normal for lenses of that period. Serial number of the lens is 2851189 and it has a red letter T marking, meaning that it is coated lens. It was made in 1943 one of the first Zeiss coated lenses and one of the last Zeiss had manufactured during WWII. It is a good portrait lens and can be used with digital mirrorless cameras via adapter. I tried how it fits Contax IIIa after war camera and Kiev 5. It fits them OK. I also installed it on my Sony NEX3 digital mirrorless camera via adapter and made a picture. Cameras and adapter are not included.
